I have been so busy with these four kids, but I love it. Being a mom really is the greatest reward to me. I learn so much from them everyday. They really are the best dang kids ever. Love them.

Sisters are the best

My sister Arika got to come down to my home for a week. We had so much fun. It was a little crazy with the kids at times but that's what makes the fun and memories. Arika is such an example to me of what a patient and loving mom should be, even at the age of 21 with two kids. She always had made the best of her situations and seen the positive in everything and everyone. Her sweet kids are so much fun and always keep us laughing. We did so many fun things, the childrens museum at the gateway, shopping, and the dinosaur museum. Oakleigh was so funny at the dinosaur 3-d movie. She thought of course they were going to get her so she would reach out and try to grab every animal. At one point I was coming back to my seat so my backside was faced toward the screen and Oakleigh yells "Mom watch out the sea monster is going to eat your butt." She is such a delight to have in our family. I was so glad that my sister came when she did, it was a much needed break to be with her and spend time with our kids. Arika is the greatest and although we are five years apart we are like twins, finishing each others sentances, reading each others minds, and never going too long with out talking on the phone. I love ya sis and I am so glad you are my only sis, you know what we say would happen if their was a sister between us.

Fun in the new R.V.

We had so much fun in southern Utah in our new R.V.. I have such an appreciation for the beauty of Utah thanks to my mountain man of a husband. Thanks Lamont for teaching me all about the beauty of nature and camping. Man does it make a differance in an R.V. to go camping. It was so nice to be able to take naps, have air conditioning, take a shower, and best of all always have a cold diet coke. Our kids did so good. Char slept great, the kids never complained and we were all happy the entire trip. I was so proud of Mazzy, she did a three mile hike through a canyon and had so much fun. She truly takes after her dad in how much she loves climbing and anything to do with the outdoors. Thank you dad for instilling in me an appreciation for road trips, camping, and national parks. It has been so much fun passing this on to my girls. Sorry dad for always whining in the museums and asking where the shopping was. We can't wait to go back to Moab and the rest of southern Utah. We are so excited to take our friends and family on trips in our new motor home. The flames on the paint job are one of my favorite things. Dad I am sure you love them. Thank you Lamont for doing all the cooking and making it such a memorable trip for our little family. You still are my hot husband even when you wear your outdoor logo shirts, hiking boots, and slacks. You have taught me a lot about real beauty. It's not in the clothes you wear, the places you shop but what is around you and what you make of yourself on the inside is truly what other people will see.

Spring Vacation

So here are a couple pictures from our trip to southern Utah. We traveled the beautiful highway 12 and saw as much of the scenery along the way as possible. This first picture is at the overlook at the Grandstaircase.

Next we have the family picture at Goblin Valley

Here is the crew getting ready to hike back from the Double Arch in Arches National Park

Here is my little hiker in Little Wild Horse Canyon. She wanted to go on a hike every day with her dad.

I am sure that Audrey will add to the trip, but I thought I would put on a couple pictures that I liked.

Two Peas in a Pod

Two Peas in a Pod

Mazzelin and Oakleigh had their first dentist appointment today. I have been preparing them for this for quite awhile. I really didn't know if they would cooperate that well with getting x-rays and their teeth cleaned. To my suprise they did so well. Oakleigh just didn't like biting down on the x-ray thing. Mazzy cheered Oakleigh on and they held each others hand and just kept saying to each other "your doing so good, your so brave." I am so proud of them. I use to think I was crazy for having them only a year and half apart, but days like today remind me of the goodness that comes from being close. They love each other so much even though they are totally different. I was so relieved that neither of them had any cavities. I forgot to bring my camera so here are a few photo's of them together. Thank you to their dentist Dr. Horgisheimer for making them so comfortable and having the t.v.'s on the ceiling.
