Two Peas in a Pod
Mazzelin and Oakleigh had their first dentist appointment today. I have been preparing them for this for quite awhile. I really didn't know if they would cooperate that well with getting x-rays and their teeth cleaned. To my suprise they did so well. Oakleigh just didn't like biting down on the x-ray thing. Mazzy cheered Oakleigh on and they held each others hand and just kept saying to each other "your doing so good, your so brave." I am so proud of them. I use to think I was crazy for having them only a year and half apart, but days like today remind me of the goodness that comes from being close. They love each other so much even though they are totally different. I was so relieved that neither of them had any cavities. I forgot to bring my camera so here are a few photo's of them together. Thank you to their dentist Dr. Horgisheimer for making them so comfortable and having the t.v.'s on the ceiling.

Lamont, you are amazing and I love you more everyday. No you do not look fat in this photo. Can you believe him. He took this picture off because he thought he looked fat. For all of you that know Lamont, you know that he is the least into image, so I was suprised when he said this. How great marriage is and how lucky I am to be married to this wonderful guy. I love you babe! I can not believe we have been married for six years on the 1st. Crazy! What did I get myself into? Just kidding. Emily this picture is just for you since you haven't seen him, maybe if your lucky I'll post one of him on the beach. Just kidding, he's not that posing type. He actually reminds me a lot of Brandon. Love all yall and I am so excited to get back in touch!
These are three of my favorite people. This was taken a year ago. I am reminded of how important family is at this time since it was just mothers day. I had a great mothers day. I hope you all did too. My husband is so wonderful and got the kids all ready for church and made us all french toast (however, this is what he does every sunday) yea yea I know I am bragging how wonderful he is but truly Sweetie, thanks for all you do for us. All I wanted to do on mothers day was enjoy my kids and take a long nap. Well, we all got a long nap, 3 1/2 hours long nap. My husband suprised me with a sleep number bed for mothers day. This has cut down on the pain I deal with in my back and neck from my skiing accident tremendously. Thank you sweetie. Look how bald Oakleigh is, she is so funny. Her hair always seems to disappear in the sun since it is so white. All of our kids got Lamont's dark skin (notice his hand on Mazzy's leg) except for Oakleigh. It's allright Oakleigh, we will just always have to wear sunscreen. Any ways I know a few of you have asked to see a picture of our family. This is a reminder to me that I need to get new picutres taken with the newest addition Lottie Mae.

Our first daughter Mazzelin (Mazzy) arrived shortly after our one year anniversary and immediately melted our hearts when she entered into this world. Mazzy was born seven weeks early but weighed in at 6lbs. 11oz. and only spent a short time in the NICU before we got to bring her home. Mazzy is our tenderhearted, sweet loving, and perfectionist child. She is so talented in many areas of her life. She absolutely has a great talent for art. She has such an eye for detail and loves to water color all day long. She is the easiest kid and baby I've yet to come across. Mazzy loves to clean and organize anything she comes across, Oakleigh on the other hand is like a walking tornado and will run and hide when it's time to clean up. Mazzy loves to rock climb in our climbing gym and hang on our weight set. she is seriously a little monkey. Mazzelin has so much potential and it is so neat to see her developing so wonderful attributes to her little personality.
Oakleigh Ella is absolutely my little sunshine, right down to her bright white hair and happy smile. She arrived 3 weeks early and weighed 8lbs. 14 oz. Yea she broke my tailbone during delivery. She came into this world breaking things and she still is my most destructive child. She is the proudest 3 year old and loves to show you everything she can do. She is definitely our outgoing little child. She loves to ask a million questions and laugh at everything. Along with her outgoing personality comes her spunk. She keeps us all on our toes and we love it. She is the most affectionate child and will give you hugs and kisses and tell you she loves you all the time. She is such a caring and nurturing child and we couldn't imagine our family without her or her little blanket she can't live without.
Charlotta (Lottie Mae) is the sweetest baby. Never a tear except when you get her dressed for some odd reason. We love her dearly and she is the most precious gift. She truly has a special spirit and we feel so blessed to have her as a member of our family. She was born 4 weeks early and weighed in at 8 lbs. 4 oz. She came into this world a fighter. She had a few struggles when she was born with her blood sugars stabilizing (gestational diabetes) and struggled to take her first breath of life. After those problems cleared she was almost ready to come home but couldn't escape jaundice. She came home on a billi bed and stayed on it a little over a week. She is truly the pride and joy of this family. We all can't get enough of her. Her sisters are so good to her and have been so helpful with her. Her twinkling blue eyes and infectious smile lights up the whole room. She is the greatest little sleeper (thankfully all my kids have slept through night at 3-4 months). I love having three little girls to brighten my life. They are the reason I get up everyday, the reason I want to be the best I can be, the reason I spend their dad's money, and they make me the person I am today. It truly is amazing how much you can learn from these special little spirits. Every night Lamont and I lay in our bed at the end of the day we just laugh at how funny our kids are and smile at how much joy they bring to our lives.
Hello
Well this is our first official entry and hope that you all enjoy sharing our journey with us. We hope to reconnect with old friends and make new ones along the way.
We have been very busy in the past couple years and hope to keep in better contact in the future through this blog.
I will try to catch you up on the crazy last six years of our lives. Lamont and I met on a blind date. Amazing how many people actually meet on blind dates. We were attached at the hip immediately and have been truly blessed to have intertwined our own unique qualities to create the wonderful journey we call "life." Lamont went to the U of U and graduated with a degree in civil engineering and worked as a structural engineer for three years then decided he wanted to enter the crazy world of real estate. We truly have been blessed with Lamont's job in a crazy real estate market. Lamont loves to take big risks in everything he does and I see that it has payed off not only in his job but in everything he does. We married in the Salt Lake Temple and are still here in the beautiful mountains of Utah. Lamont has such and optimism about life, he keeps me hopeful and teaches me that you really can accomplish anything. I went to Ricks college for a year before deciding I wanted to fulfill a dream of mine to go to hair school, and I wanted to something that challenged me and I could do while my kids were in school. I love doing hair and went to a great school, but my true passion is motherhood. Before the kids came Lamont and I enjoyed an adventurous life of traveling to Peru, Bolivia, Jamaica, Caymen Islands, and few other places. I guess you could say I really did trust Lamont right away. He took me repelling in the dark over a huge cliff in the dark on our second date. I think that was one of his tests. We love rock climbing, water skiing, snow skiing (lamont), camping, laughing, long drives, playing with our three precious girls. There is never a dull moment in our home. And then there were three....
